Carbon epoxy plates Xellentic® CF
Xellentic® CF stands for a broad range of high-quality semi-finished carbon fibre plates. For design applications, the various surface finishes leave nothing to be desired. Carbon shows its full strength in technical applications: wherever metallic materials are ruled out by weight, magnetic properties, conductivity or a lack of radiolucency, carbon proves to be the innovative solution. With more than 20 years of experience in producing semi-finished carbon fibre reinforced plastics, we will certainly find the right solution for your application too.
Xellentic® CF fibre reinforced semi-finished carbon plates offer high stiffness and strength at low weight. Haufler Composites produces CFRP plates that are used in demanding fields of application. These range from mechanical engineering, measurement technology and medical technology through to sports equipment. We manufacture both solid carbon plates and sandwich panels. Sizes range from small plates through to plates several metres long.
At Haufler Composites, CFRP plates are manufactured entirely in-house. This results in a semi-finished product that can be optimally matched to the end product. Depending on the technical requirements, both the fibre types and fibre orientations as well as the matrix systems can be adapted.
High precision is required for mechanical engineering and industrial applications. CFRP sheets are also produced in a ground finish with tight thickness tolerances for such applications. By using high-modulus fibres, we are able to produce CFRP sheets with an elasticity modulus that is higher than that of steel on unidirectional sheets in the direction of the fibre.
Carbon plates can be machined conventionally by water jet cutting or milling.
For design applications that demand a superior surface finish, the surface variants “Matt”, “Textured” and “Gloss” are produced using a special press method.

Xellentic® carbon veneer
Our carbon veneer is used in applications where the highest demands are placed on the optical appearance of the carbon plates.
The matrix system is highly transparent and UV-stabilised.
Available in weave pattern 3K twill in dimensions 123cm x 98cm and 193cm x 98cm, thickness each 0.5mm.
