Carbon fibre roving
We supply a range of carbon roving spools for winding, pultrusion, hand lamination or other special applications.
Rovings are bundles or strands of many individual endless fibres (so-called filaments), all stretched out almost in parallel. They are held together by a binder, here the sizing.
The strands can be slightly fanned out or combined and laid into thicker bundles.
The strands can be slightly fanned out or combined and laid into thicker bundles.
This makes them ideal for hand lamination and many other processes and allows for optimal adjustment of the reinforcement in the direction of force or load, e.g. as tension/compression belts on wing spars, braces for complex support structures, longitudinal and radial reinforcements for tubular constructions, stabilisation of
local reinforcement etc.
