Aramid fibre is a synthetically produced polymer fibre with very high tensile strength and low density. Processed into laminate, aramid fibre is characterised by high impact strength.

In terms of pressure resistance it is comparable to glass fibre.
The high sensitivity to moisture and UV radiation are a disadvantage.
